Over the years, our range has been slowly taking on a more tropical feel, with the introduction of citrus, olives and bananas. These have proved very popular, with customers now requesting
the more unusual varieties, many of which are not readily available elsewhere. Certainly when it comes to citrus, most of these requests have come from chefs, looking to cut down their
food miles and grow their own high end ingredients.
There is a lot of 'cross-over' between edible and ornamental plants in the tropical and exotic range, and this has garnered us a wider customer-base. In turn this has led to more requests for other plants that are suited to a tropical-themed
garden, and has prompted a lot of research and experimentation here in my own garden.
With the knowledge I've built up over the 40 years I've had my fingers in the soil, I've found that a lot of what I've learned from growing fruit, veg and
herbs has set me up well for growing 'pretty things'. It's simply widened my knowledge base.
Prices vary dependent on the size plant sizes I have at any given time, and in general the largest plants will more likely be available later in the
year. I don't maintain an up-to-date stocklist as it would take too long to update, as plants become ready for sale on an almost daily basis, and some are only grown in very small
numbers. The easiest way to know what I have available is either to pop along to one of the many events / locations that I sell my plants at each year, or to email me (via the 'contact me'
page of this website) and let me know which type / variety you're interested in, and I can let you know what varieties and sizes I have available, and the prices.
